Who are we?

All at Blackpool Gateway Academy are in pursuit of educational excellence. We promote independence and hope that all our pupils become ‘life-long learners’.

Blackpool Gateway Academy is in Bloomfield Ward, close to Blackpool Football Club, adjacent to Seasider’s Way.  It is a two-form entry school currently with 373 pupils (2 classes in each year group up to Year 6) catering for pupils from 3-11 years. In January 2018 we successfully opened our brand-new nursery which caters for 26 pupils per session.

Our passion is to develop nurture alongside the curriculum aiming for the School Council’s desire to ‘learn today for a brighter tomorrow.’

The school is a 21st century learning environment with the latest IT in all classrooms. It has a dedicated foundation stage with outdoor learning. In September 2016 the school joined Fylde Coast Academy Trust and embraces the Trust’s core values of Pride, Resilience, Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Ambition. Sharing best practice between our schools is integral to our development.
