Casual Exam Invigilator
Salary: Point 9 on the NJC Pay Scale currently £8.7084 per hour
Contract: Casual hours, as and when required during examination periods, particularly busy periods in May and June
Start Date: As soon as possible.
We are looking to recruit Examination Invigilators, to help supervise and ensure efficient running of the Academy’s examinations. Invigilators will be required to work during examination periods, which run at various times throughout the year, with busier periods during November, December, March, May and June.
Successful candidates will be employed on a casual, ad-hoc basis.
Exam Invigilators are required to work with school staff, candidates and other invigilators before, during and after examinations and have a crucial role to play in ensuring the smooth running of examinations in accordance with published guidelines and examination bodies.
The role will involve working as a part of a team of examination invigilators or in some cases as a lone invigilator. Full training will be given.
Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills; a confident and assertive manner and a flexible approach to working hours.
