Thank you for your interest in becoming part of Mereside Primary Academy staff team. This is a very exciting and unique opportunity to work with our experienced teaching and support staff team, to ensure that we, and our children, become ‘the best that we can be’.

Mereside Primary Academy is part of the Fylde Coast Academy Trust (FCAT). FCAT is a Multi Academy Trust with 10 primary and secondary Academy’s across the Fylde Coast and Lancashire with a proven track record of delivering rapid improvement in progress and outcomes.

We endeavour to work together with parents, governors and the local community to provide high quality care and education through continuous improvement.   Encouraging all children to enjoy learning, develop their best potential and show mutual respect for one another. We promote independence and hope that all our pupils become ‘life-long learners’.

The focus of this role is to provide specialist support to pupils and support parents/carers to help and encourage their children with literacy and reading. Working with school staff and using existing strategies, the ideal candidate will help to develop and deliver a range of additional approaches to ensure parents know what is available within the community and how they can help their children to develop their literacy skills.

Within your application you should state clearly why you are the ideal candidate for this role stating examples of how you have contributed to high standards of supporting pupils teaching and learning.
