Contract:        Permanent.  Part Time (32.5).

Blackpool Gateway Academy is in Bloomfield Ward, close to Blackpool Football Club, adjacent to Seasider’s Way.  It is a two form entry school that is growing year on year, currently with 344 pupils (2 classes in each year group up to Year 5) catering for pupils from 3-11 years. From January 2018 we have successfully opened our brand new nursery which can cater to 26 pupils per session.

The school is a 21st century learning environment with the latest IT in all classrooms. It has a dedicated foundation stage with outdoor learning. Outside there are extensive grounds with a junior sized football pitch and newly installed play equipment.

In September 2016 the school joined Fylde Coast Academy Trust and embraces the Trust’s core values of Pride, Resilience, Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Ambition. There are a number of advantages of working with a cluster of schools within a multi academy trust.

The Candidate

We are looking for candidates whose dynamism, confidence commitment, energy, professional expertise and experience qualify them to take on this exciting and challenging role.

We require a permanent, part time Teacher Assistant 3 with experience of working with pupils with behavioural needs. The candidate will be required to work closely with our Behaviour Lead within our Nurture Unit, developing and implementing the Academy’s behaviour and inclusion strategies. The candidate must have the ability to work in a team and work in partnership with teaching staff to implement ESM plans, initiatives and strategies to improve whole school pupil behaviour and inclusion.  

The Role

Teaching Assistant Level 3 to work within our Nurture Unit but may also be required to assist in classes.
