Salary: Grade E, points 16-17 on the NJC Pay Scale (currently £30,519 - £31,022 dependent on experience)
Contract: Fixed-term for 2 years from start date, Full time (37 hours per week), Full Year

At FCAT we’re offering a fantastic opportunity of a 2 year trainee role to work towards becoming an experienced and CIPD qualified HR Advisor.
The Fylde Coast Academy Trust (FCAT) is a Multi Academy Trust with teaching and support staff across 10 schools (primary, secondary and all-through schools) and our central services team. We have 6,000 students and around 900 employees across our trust. The role
In this role you will be supported to develop the knowledge, skills, experience and confidence to become a successful HR Advisor; through a personalised development plan including on the job training and coaching in a supportive team. We will also fully fund your CIPD professional qualification which you will complete alongside to support your progress.
You will join the HR team including Head of HR, HR Business Partners and HR Officer who will support your development. We have successfully delivered 4 traineeships in recent years with colleagues successfully securing internal and external promotions as a result of this.
Our HR team is well-regarded and supports the effective running of our schools and trust. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to be directly involved in the design and delivery of HR operations and strategy, including new policies, procedures and initiatives that continually enhance the HR service.
What will you deliver
You will be supported to quickly build strong relationships with managers and staff to successfully advise and resolve issues. You will have a solid focus on ensuring that your work adds value and makes a positive impact providing:
- Expert advice to managers on day to day queries on terms and conditions of employment, HR policies and procedures and best practice human resource management and development.
- Supporting managers in effectively and efficiently managing all employee relations matters e.g. staff attendance, capability, disciplinary, grievance, flexible working, special leave etc. in line with legislation and policy, within a reasonable timeline and to an appropriate resolution.
